As you may have noticed, the masthead for our journal has changed. We are now JAMA Psychiatry. This change connotes more than just a branding issue. Rather, the new masthead represents what will soon be a seismic shift in content, layout, and accessibility to the broad range of clinical and scientific information available in the JAMA family of publications (The JAMA Network), thereby breaking down barriers between psychiatry and the rest of medicine.
The entire print redesign, which will occur in the spring, is just one example of the many changes that are being implemented. In the next few months, the first JAMA Network app will be launched on an HTML 5 platform that will ensure that it can play appropriately on any device of any size. The plan is to make 1 to 2 years of content across the entire JAMA Network free for the first 6 months.
