A little more than 100 years ago, on August 21, 1909, Carl Gustav Jung and Sigmund Freud were invited to Clark University in Worcester, Massachusetts, where both Jung and Freud had received invitations to speak and to join 6 other prominent figures in psychology and pedagogy, including Adolf Meyer, in receiving honorary degrees.2
