AB The 23rd volume of this annual publication continues to present a wide variety of original and reprinted papers on the psychoanalytic study of the child. These include topics concerned with psychopathology, therapy, theory, development, and clinical case-studies. As expected the contributions are unequal in significance but continue to represent whatever standards exist in the field. However, deserving of special mention is an interesting paper by S. L. Lustman entitled "The Economic Point of View and Defense" which should stimulate some hard thinking for the reader.
