RT Journal A1 Mindel ED T1 DImensions of reading difficulties. The categorical umbrella for reading difficulties is the topic "Disorders of Function"; examples of other subjects are speech problems and difficulties in bladder and bowel control. Under "Critical Stages of Development" problems attendant upon movement into new maturational stages will be discussed. The third major topic will cover "Special Situations"; that is, "family reactions to illness or defect in one member, to changing material circumstances and to events which tend to break up the family unity." The undertaking is ambitious; an attempt to bring conceptual orderliness to the professions' cluttered bibliotheca is always welcome. To the publisher, one sour note: if the quality of the binding is not improved, the series will not survive its first year. The
