AB This little brochure contains 26 essays previously published in the Journal of the American Medical Association. They were derived from brief pedagogic experiences with medical students attending summer courses. The essays are well written and cover important problems in medical writing, but unfortunately there are too few in number and therefore they do not cover enough of the field. It is hoped that the authors will continue writing their essays for the Journal so that contributing physicians and scientists will improve their own language.
