TY - JOUR T1 - ROund of applause for an agenda and regular report cards for child and adolescent psychotherapy research AU - Kendall PC Y1 - 2000/09/01 N1 - 10.1001/archpsyc.57.9.839 JO - Archives of General Psychiatry SP - 839 EP - 840 VL - 57 IS - 9 N2 - BOB DYLAN sang, "The times, they are a-changin'," and an awed nation noticed as the trends emerged. In this issue of the ARCHIVES, the need for a definable agenda in child and adolescent therapy research has been described by Kazdin,1 and I anticipate that the field of mental health will take notice as the trend emerges. However, as members of the field, we must do more than simply observe. Numerous time-consuming studies must be designed and carried out, and the studies must be integrated and reviewed as well as consumed and implemented for the field to progress. It is perhaps obvious by my casting Kazdin with Dylan that I see Kazdin's observations as keen and likely to be heard.
